GEORGIA -- The 2009 Wreaths Across America observances are featured in a "Making A Difference" report, which aired on "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" Friday, Dec. 18. "Holiday tradition honors fallen heroes" by NBC News reporter Roger O'Neil originated from Canton, Ga. The report didn't specifically mention Civil Air Patrol, but it does show many of our volunteers and one of our planes in the video footage. CAP members played a major role in the success of the 2009 observances, either leading or taking part in more than 300 of the 405 wreath-laying ceremonies held nationwide.
