PD Tip of the Week:  Encourage unit commanders and unit PDOs to use Great Start for Adults. Structuring a new member’s first 6 weeks in the program at the unit meetings will help them become part of the unit and more productive faster.

Customs, Courtesies, and Uniforms Tip of the Week:  Customs and Courtesies are part of CAP’s rich heritage. Use them and be proud.

Highlighted Aerospace Pioneer

Remembering an Aviation Legend:

Gill Robb Wilson
18 Sep 1892 - 8 Sep 1966

Founder of the Civil Air Patrol, CAP’s first Region Commander, and former President the National Aeronautic Association. He was also the President of the Air Force Association (AFA) in 1956 and Chairman of the Board of the AFA in 1957.

In 2011, we celebrated 101 years of U.S. military aviation by commemorating the diverse array of people who helped shape today's USAF. Click on the photo on the right to view Pioneers in Blue.  Pioneers in Blue
